About Stavromenos
|
Stavromenos is a small village with a sandy beach situated 11km east of Rethymnon. During the summer there are public buses from Rethymnon to Stavromenos village every half hour. At Stavromenos you can find hotels, apartments, villas, traditional taverns, shops and mini-markets. The sea turtles "Caretta Caretta" visit Stavromenos beach at nights during their nesting season between May and September. There are more excellent sandy beaches between Stavromenos and the town of Rethymnon. |
