Agia Roumeli lies in the heart of the most mountainous area of Crete. Here you can see the coast east of Agia Roumeli, with the mountains dropping sheer into the deep-blue sea

The ferry has just left Agia Roumeli. It will be in Sfakia harbour (Hora Sfakion) in about an hour 
The boat sails along the coast towards Loutro and Hora Sfakion. It’s a cloudy day and the horizon is shrouded in mist, but the sea has not lost the turquoise colour typical of the area
