Petrol prices in Agios Nikolaos are higher than those in Heraklion. The majority of the gas stations in Agios Nikolaos can be found along the highway. The gas stations where you will find the cheapest petrol prices are near the entrance or the exit from the highway. Prices in other towns far from Agios Nikolaos, like Sitia, Ierapetra or Makrigialos, are usually higher.

Prices in Heraklion Gas Stations

Prices in Heraklion gas stations are the lowest in the whole of Crete. That is because the gas is transported by ships directly to Heraklion itself. The cost of storing the gas in Heraklion and transporting it to other locations in Crete is what makes gas more expensive outside of Heraklion. You can find the many of the big and well known gas companies such as Shell and BP alongside the smaller Greek gas companies like Avin and EKO.

Prices in Rethymnon Gas Stations

Petrol prices in Rethymnon used to be more expensive compared to Heraklion, but the situation has changed and the average price is more or less the same. Outside the town and along the highway, you may find some gas stations that sell cheaper fuel.
